CALLING ALL BASEBALL FANS!!
Or even if you’re not, you may still enjoy this! I have no idea about internationally, but at least if you live in the U.S. (even if you don’t follow the sport or attend games very often) surely everyone is at least familiar with the catchy little jingle played during the 7th Inning Stretch at pretty much every game, right?
You know, they get the old pipe organ fired up and everyone sings:
Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack,
I don’t care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the [home team],
If they don’t win it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game!
WELL, I’ve gone and written some new lyrics to that tune, starting with “Lock Me Up in a Steel Cage!”
Then I hired it out to be sung and get a new track created, and it is fantastic!
Since this is officially opening weekend for the baseball season, it seems fitting to go ahead and get this out there for all to enjoy.
Now, there are TWO verses to my version (guess I was being too creative and couldn’t limit myself to just one! Lol) so if you think it’s over just keep listening and the rest of it will start shortly. The artist that I hired also provided a second copy without the background music, but only a voice accompaniment which sounds pretty neat too, so I’ve included that version as well.
Enjoy! And please write if you find yourself thinking about Chastity now every time the 7th inning rolls around while you’re at a game, as I’m pretty sure Angel will be from now on! 🙂

I’ve spent th last few days reading your blog from the beginning. Great stuff! I’m hoping to get my wife involved, but the longest i’ve Gone is 3.5 days

Thank you, Michael! I’ve had the idea for quite a while; took a few months to get the words quite right to a point where I was happy with them. After that, finding an artist to record it was actually the easy part, and he did an excellent job of it!
That last part would be difficult for me—I think. But good on you for following through on the idea!!
