I have been trying out my new Jail Bird off and on for the past few days just to start getting a feel for it, but never more than a few hours at a time so far. It has been feeling good though, and I’ve been getting a little antsy not being locked much for the past 9 days! It really is almost strange how chastity has become such a part of me that it really feels like something is just missing when I’m out for a while! So as of today, I am locked back up and gave Angel the keys back to hold until she’s good and ready to let me out again! I know it will be at least a little while, as she is going out of town again this weekend to visit some family, and I will be home alone. That’s another great thing about chastity: I do always feel like I am still much more connected to Angel when locked, even when we are apart for a few days!
But anyway, back to the Jail Bird itself. So far, I am really liking it a lot! I definitely think I’ve got the cage diameter right this time, as it does seem to fit very snug all the way around (without being too tight) when I’m completely soft. I’ll have to keep an eye on it to make sure it’s not rubbing any new sores or anything, but so far it really feels nice! I keep going back and forth on the length, as in a way it seems like it might be about 1/4″ too long, which is exactly the length that I had this extended from where my Queen’s Keep currently is. But then, it also does seem to be easier this way to get everything lined up to pee standing at a urinal, so that’s a plus! I could have the length shortened sometime if I want to, but I think I’ll just go with this for a while and see how things go in the long term, and make that decision later..
Really, the gap size between the cage and base ring might be the best thing to try adjusting first. I haven’t compared it directly to my Queen’s Keep yet, but the gap does seem to be slightly larger than what I’ve gotten used to. I don’t think it will be a problem, as long as it doesn’t seem like a ball could pop out through that opening (so far it does NOT seem like that would be possible!) I’m almost wondering if the gap might just appear larger since the cage itself has a smaller diameter, so that in itself means more space between the cage and the sides/bottom of the base ring. It definitely doesn’t hurt or anything right now, and I know that if I make the gap too small it COULD start to hurt. So again, I think I’ll just go with it the way it is for now, and perhaps eventually I might have that gap shortened a bit to see how small I can get it without hurting anything. Shortening that gap would also pull the cage back further towards my body, which might also eliminate the need to shorten the cage itself, so that would be a plus as well!
What I’m REALLY liking so far, is the double-wide base ring! Even though it’s the same 1 3/4″ diameter as the base ring on my Queen’s Keep, this one feels much more snug! Just snug though, not tight like the next smaller (1 5/8″) ring was on my old device. With that one, I would be fine during the day when I was up and moving, but as soon as I would lay down it would feel like a vice was crushing my balls and there was no way I could sleep very much! I’ve only slept in this one one night so far (last night) but so far so good! It was every bit as comfortable while laying down as it is when standing! And, I like how any “pull” from trying to get hard inside the device is now kind of distributed over a slightly wider area. It’s not like I ever really had a problem with the single ring digging into my skin or anything like that, but this is just so solid and wide, and yea.. It’s just VERY comfortable! I don’t really know of any other way to describe it besides that!
So anyway, that’s kind of a quick run-down of my observations of the Jail Bird so far. I’m sure the longer I’m locked in it I will start to refine my opinions of it and decide what (if any) adjustments could make it even better!
In other news, today is also mine and Angel’s wedding anniversary! It seems like I am always thinking lately about how far we’ve come over the years as a couple. The things we’ve been through together, not to mention the things we’ve gotten INTO together! Every day is a new adventure, and whether we are chasing after the kids or enjoying some sexy times alone in the bedroom, there is nobody in the world that I would rather share it with than Angel!

I have just passed the 2 week mark with my JB and find it hardly noticeable during the day. I still don’t know if anything needs adjustment or if my body just adjusts. I have no rubbing or sores. My biggest problem is at night with nocturnal erections, it can hurt enough to wake me up. Also, when things get close to my body rather than hanging proves to ne uncomfortable. I have the 1-1/2″ length and could go to 1-1/4″ length easily, but a little worried based on your experience. Also, tossing idea around about getting a smaller ring. For now, I am hoping that I will eventually sleep through the night.
Does your base ring seem to large, currently? I’d be careful about making that too small as that’s actually where I had the biggest problem. When the ring was too tight I would be fine during the day but as soon as I would lay down at night it would become practically unbearable. If yours is a similar problem at all, you may even want to consider going UP a size rather than down.
And shortening the gap a tiny bit could possibly help with that extra 1/4″ space at the end of the cage. Just food for thought- you’d have to determine if any of those suggestions are feasible for your particular situation.
Congratulations on your anniversary! A good marriage takes effort, and its good to celebrate that effort and reward.
Your thoughts comparing your new JB to the old QK are interesting. I went from a JB to the pet trap, which has the same bar construction ring as your QK, but on the whole device. For me and my “unique snowflake”, I’ve found the PT more comfortable and discrete to wear than the JB. The inner diameter of the cage is the same on both, but the difference between 1/8″ bar and 1/4″ round stock seems to give that smidge more room between balls and cage that feels better on. I also like the full contact of the PT along the entire cage, which you don’t get with the JB because the bars go through the center of the rings.
I’m wondering just how much modification mature metal could do to my now unused JB. I’d like to make it smaller in diameter and length and kind of turn into a short term wear “punishment” cage, but that seems like dramatic reconstruction. Length is easy I suspect, but diameter looks difficult. I’ll email MM and ask. I don’t really need to buy and own a 3rd cage.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! From what I’ve experienced with MM so far, they could certainly shorten the length, but unfortunately won’t be able to do anything about the diameter. Depending on the length though, they may be able to add the anti-pullout/”punishment” pins to it though, which might fit well for what you are describing. I would just run all of that by them though to find out what all of your options are. Good luck!

Congrats on your anniversary! Have a wonderful day together. I love my Jail Bird too. I basically wear mine 5 days out of 7. My Queen likes me easy access most weekends. I’m good either way. lol
