Now you’re going to make me have to actually work, to write a little “speech” about it! Lol
Blogger’s Recognition Award
The purpose of this award is to motivate and encourage bloggers and let them know that they’re appreciated, no matter how big or small their blog is. The idea is to share the love; so at the end of this post I will be tagging about 15 bloggers who I’d love to nominate!
The guidelines are as follows:
1. Start a new post. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
2. Next, include a brief story of how and why you started your blog.
3. Then, share some advice or “lessons learned” for new bloggers
4. Finally, select up to 15 other blogs deserving of recognition and list them in your post. Publish it!
5. Last but not least, let the nominees know you have nominated them and provide a link to the nomination details (the post you just published).
6. Go back to the person who nominated you and leave a comment with a link to your acceptance of the award!
The reason I started my blog is pretty straight-forward. I had been playing with Male Chastity for quite some time, and was getting ready to make a big leap to a much more secure, custom-fit, steel device. I wanted to document the whole process, really primarily just for myself, to be able to go back and see what kinds of things worked/didn’t work, how it felt to be locked for fairly long periods at a time, if I experienced any sort of “physical implications” from being locked, and how my wife reacted to the whole thing. This has taken off far further than I ever could have imagined! As my wife has been embracing the lifestyle more and more, there always seems to be another new “thrill” to write about!
I have to say that I do find it interesting, that in nominating my blog, it was described as a great BDSM blog! Yes, I suppose that my wife and I do engage in some elements of light BDSM that I’ve written about before; I just never really thought of my blog as being all BDSM. But I guess as far as chastity play itself could be seen as a subset of BDSM, OK–I’ll take it! 🙂
I don’t know if I’m the best person to ask for advice for new bloggers, so I’ll just say that you should be yourself! There’s no need to make things up (unless your thing is writing fiction! Lol). Find a topic that interests you greatly or something fun that you do regularly in your life, and just let your thoughts and/or experiences flow! Even if it’s a pretty niche topic (as I believe Male Chastity to be!), chances are there are people all over the world who are interested in the same thing as you, and would love to hear what you have to say about it!
As far as making new nominations, that can be very hard to do as there are so many well-deserving blogs out there! I think for now, I am just going to go to my stats pages in WordPress and list a few of the top people/blogs who have referenced my site, or interacted enough on my site to garner quite a few clicks between us. Most of these are chastity-related sites to some extent, with only a couple of exceptions. I don’t know that I’ll do anything with item #5 on the list. Hopefully this will just be a way to get at least a few more visitors to these great blogs, and if the writers see increased traffic from my site then hopefully they’ll all make it back over to see that I nominated them! I definitely do recommend that you look at and follow each and every one of these! 🙂
